Shagufta's recent post on a social networking site said, "When Mahesh Bhatt makes Gangster, Ekta Kapoor makes Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. When he makes Woh Lamhe on the life of an actor, she tells the story of Silk in The Dirty Picture. When we make Raaz and Raaz 2, she makes Ragini MMS."
For Emraan though it is indeed a precarious situation to be in since he is the blue eyed boy of Bhatts and is now also sharing a very comfortable relationship with Ekta. As a 'ghar ka hero' he is anyways doing films in dozens with Bhatts, as is the case with forthcoming films like Jannat 2 and Raaz 3. On the other hand, his next film with Ekta would be announced in January next year. In such a scenario to have a senior writer from his own 'home production house' mention unsavoury things about his newest producer could well be an unwelcome state for Emraan to be in.
This is pretty much a strange situation for Mahesh Bhatt to be a part of as well since he has openly appreciated The Dirty Picture whereas Shagufta's unhappiness with Ekta seems to be have no boundaries. She goes on to state, "That woman (Ekta) has no strength or story sense of her own and no one dares to call her a copy cat. Jo Mahesh Bhatt karega, woh main das kadam aage jaake karungi has become her motto. Question is 'Yeh sab to kar diya but can she ever make a Saaransh or a Janam or a Daddy or an Aashique?"
Well, perhaps Emraan could help out on that as well. What say, Emraan?
