Google Maps now has schedules for over 1 million public transit stops covering nearly 500 cities in the world. Some of these cities include Tokyo, New York, Sydney and London. For India, Google Maps now more importantly has schedules for Delhi Metro Rail, Chennai MRTS, Bangalore MTC and Kolkata Metro. All these schedules are being pushed to the Google Maps app for Android via an update today. The update to the Google Maps app in Android also makes the transit information more useful and users can choose to get information regarding a particular form of transit like subways, bus, tram or railways.
