Samsung has announced it has sold 10 million units of the Galaxy S III globally. The news is right on cue as the company had earlier said the milestone will be achieved in July. Initially, Samsung had announced the Galaxy S III had scored over 9 million pre-orders, mostly from carriers worldwide. It took the Galaxy S III less than two months to reach 10 million units sales while the Galaxy S II had taken about five months. However, this 10 million figure is likely to include sales to carriers across the world and does not actually mean 10 million users. Nevertheless, the Galaxy S III is already turning out to be the most successful smartphone ever in Samsung’s history.
